Today it is my stop on the Lotte Martens world tour! I feel very honoured to have been asked again by Lotte and Eva to sew up something with one of their newer fabrics.  Lotte Martens screen prints and hand prints much of her fabric and specialises in special fabrics to be used for special occasions.  You can see my previous Lotte Martens creation here - a pretty dress for Emily.  However, many of her fabrics can be used for special every day wear...like the gorgeous chunky knit I chose for a jumper for Isabella. The fabric is called Weave - green(although to me the fabric is more of a pretty blue) from Lotte's Stories without endings collection.  You can see the fabric details here.

It's hard to believe that this jumper has been sewn as the knit is so luxurious and chunky that it looks like it must have been knitted.  What a great thing...you can look like you have spent weeks knitting a jumper when really you have spent perhaps an hour and a half cutting and sewing up the jumper instead.  I used the Issie top pattern in size 9 ( I would usually choose size 7 and lengthen for Issie but I wanted the fit to be loose).  I made a couple of changes to the pattern to accommodate the fabric.  I obviously added a large roll neck collar and also angled the hemline a little for fun.  I used my sewing with a small stitch length for all seams then neatened with serger.  For the hem and stitching the collar down, I hand stitched.  I ordered a metre of fabric which was plenty for this project.
