Polka dots

April 11, 2011

I loved this shirt so much that I made another one...

Isabella is becoming quite the little model and happily obliges when I pull out the camera! Snapped here on the way to mother's group in Edinburgh gardens.

Details:
Pattern - Ottobre 1/2010
Fabric - 60 cm of cream with black polka dots from Rathdowne Remnants
Bits and bobs - 5 small black buttons, vyalene for button tab and collar interfacing, elastic for sleeves

  2. It's so cute!

What size is your daughter? I ordered that issue of Ottobre and I think the smallest size for that pattern is too big for my daughter who is 15 months. However your daughter looks like she is about the same size so I may just be confused by European sizing. My daughter was 12mo-18mo in ready to wear and occasionally an 18-24 month top or dress.

  3. Hi Rachel,
Isabella is 2 years and nine months. I made this shirt in the 91cm size. I think you could probably follow the sizing increments and size it down for your daughter :)

  4. I love it! I wish I had more time to sew my kids clothes. They grow so fast and the older are not wanting to wear my creations as much these days.
