Can you believe it's August already? This month for the sewpony sew along, the theme is #sewponymix. Mix two or more sewpony patterns to create something new!! Would you like to sew along? Simply upload your photos on IG with the tag #sewponymix by August 31st and you could win yourself a copy of the yet to be released Issie pattern for teens/women! July's theme of #sewponysolids had one unanimous winner - Karo Thom with her gorgeous blue Juliette dress! Congratulations Karo, you will be receiving two sewpony kids patterns of your choice! To showcase the new theme, Maria and Deborah have both sewn beautiful dresses and I am inspired to try both mixes!!
Happy July 1st! I can't believe how quickly the year is passing by. Today I have four of the sewpony team members sharing their sewing for the new sewpony sewalong theme. Do you love sewing with solids? I am usually persuaded by prints, but when I do sew with solids, I always love the result. Today Jenya, Fabienne, Anke and Deborah are sharing their creations using sewpony patterns and solid fabrics. Scroll to the end of the post to learn about the July sewalong prize and the winner of the June sewalong for sewpony floral.
Fabienne has sewn up many of my patterns, and her creations always looks so sweet on her cute little daughters. She also made a tic tac toe dress in pretty blue silk!!! See more here.
Happy June everyone! Today I am sharing the new theme for the sewpony sewalong series...for the month of June, the theme is #sewponyfloral ! I love floral fabrics, whether they be big and bold or small and dainty. To sew along, simply tag a photo of a garment you have made using a floral fabric and a sewpony pattern with the hashtag. In this post you will find three inspirational garments made by the sewpony team along the the floral theme and also find out the sewalong winner for the May theme of #sewponythrift! (Scroll to the bottom of the post).
Today I am really excited to introduce you to the first sewpony team! I have thought about the idea of having a team for a while and decided to take the plunge and put out a call for anyone who might be interested. Initially I thought four or five people joining me would be great...then I saw so many lovely applications, I decided to extend this number just a bit and now I have 14 wonderful people putting their hand up to join me in helping me through sewing, ideas, feedback, motivation and fun!
On the first of each month you will see some fun sewpony sewing from these ladies. So, in no particular order, here they are (ps...sorry for the less than perfect formatting of this post...thanks blogger).
