More geranium dresses and a GIVEAWAY!

February 04, 2013

Here is geranium dress number 2 (pattern details and dress number 1 here) - in a cotton lawn for Juliette.  My sister began this one for her six year old daughter, but something went wrong with her sizing and she ended up with a half finished bodice that was way too small.  So lucky Juliette scored.

This is the gathered skirt version and I did the little V notch on the neckline.  Fabric from Spotlight.  It is very light and floaty.

Dress number 3 is made from some hot pink cotton that has been sitting in my cupboard for a couple of years.  My friend Inala gave me a bag of fabrics that she thought I might find a use for.  I probably wouldn't choose a pink this bright but Isabella loves it and I think it will be a good kinder dress.

I did the flutter sleeve on this dress and added cream ric rac on bodice, pocket trims and hemline.

I had to also add this beautiful photo of Issie in our lovely next door neighbours' garden...

And just in case you were wondering how our gorgeous little Emily is doing, here she is aged 11 months.  She is such a darling and I feel like I am neglecting her a bit here on the blog since she is mostly in pants  and comfy clothes as she is crawling all over the place.  She also wears a lot of the girls' hand me downs, but I promise to make her something special for her birthday!

And now for my little GIVEAWAY...

Since I had so much fun renovating the girls' dollhouse, and making all the tiny bits and pieces, I decided to share some of the little treasures that I have made or collected.  Perhaps they will begin your dollhouse collection or add to one you already have?

Collection One

Collection Two

Both collections include a miniature pom pom garland, three coat hangers, two pencils with notebook, wooden doll, perfume, suede purse and wooden love heart.

To enter just let me know (in the comments )which one you like and who it is going to be for.  Only open to followers of my blog - so if you are not a follower and would like to enter, just click on the 'follow' button on my sidebar.  Open internationally.  Giveaway closes this Sunday evening (10th Feb) at 8pm EST.  I will announce the winner the following day and get these little parcels in the post!

Good Luck!

  1. Gorgeous dresses! How do you achieve such a defined-looking v-notch? I've tried it before and it doesn't look as sharply done as yours. The giveaway is so cute, I simply couldn't choose. Even with 3 daughters, we have no doll's house (does that make me a bad mum?). I have a dear friend with two daughters who I know would love these, so after I have admired them, I would send them on to her.

  2. What gorgeous dresses! I want to hurry up and finish the quilt I am making so I can go back to making dresses for my little one. And what a fabulous giveaway! It is hard to chose but I would go with collection two. I would use it for the doll house I want to make my daughter. She is only 21 months so I have time but after seeing your amazing dollhouse I am wanting to start to collect for it.

  3. The girls' dresses are gorgeous! Well done! I have to say that I especially love the one with the ricrac!!!
I'd love to be entered into the giveaway, please. I have my parents on a mission as we speak - scouring the UK charity shops (I've never seen one here) for a dolls house I could do up!!! :-)

  4. I loved you dollhouse! What a cute giveaway too. I'd love the second one for my daughters dollhouse, which is somewhat lacking in decoration, as you can see from my link. May have to put them aside till my little boy is a bit bigger though, he tends to like climbing into the house at the mo.

That's so generous of you to do a giveaway of some of your doll house accessories! I'm a follower and if I won, my little girls would be the lucky recipients. They both like the first collection.;)

  6. Love the dresses - the voile one in particular is gorgeous.
And what a fab giveaway! Rosie has recently bought a Blythe doll, and has become obsessed with all things miniature - she would love either, but probably the first one would be her first pick.

  10. The dresses are so sweet! I would love collection one in the giveaway. My daughter got her first Sylvanian Families this Christmas, and coincidentally a dolls house too! However, it is currently woefully bare and needs jazzing up!

  13. My programmer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.
But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using Movable-type on a variety of websites for about a year and
am worried about switching to another platform. I have heard good things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it?
Any help would be really appreciated!
