This little blog has been pretty quiet lately! That's not to say a lot of sewing hasn't been going on. I guess with the arrival of instagram, I, like many other sewers who have blogs have been blogging less. Instagram is great because it's so quick and easy but sometimes I like things to be here too! So my first blog post for 2019 is a little top I made Emily. We have been enjoying warm weather here (sometimes too warm), and the girls are on school holidays. I love this time of year when they can play outside until bedtime and our days are free and easy.
Here in Australia, our winter is finally over. It has been long, wet, cold and grey. So much rain!!! I am very happy to be thinking about sewing pretty little dresses again! Would you like to join in the sew along theme for September? It's sewpony stripes!! Who doesn't love stripes? I found this amazing striped cotton rayon a few months ago at my local op shop. It winked at me among the old curtains and polyester and I knew it would be perfect for this month's theme.
Hello! My first blog post for 2017.... Today I am sharing the dresses I made the girls for Christmas! We enjoyed a completely wonderful Christmas day (last!) year. The weather was perfect (about 31 degrees C) and we enjoyed our lunch under the shade of our big trees in the back yard. We had 25 people in total for Christmas day, including one baby and seven children. Everyone had such a lovely day.
Today is the last day of the tic tac toe dress blog tour! Until tomorrow, you can receive 10% off the price of the tic tac toe dress (and all sewpony vintage patterns) with the code TICTACTOE10. Apply it at checkout in the sewpony vintage shop HERE. Today An from StraightGrain and Katrien from KaatjeNaaisels are sharing their creations from Belgium! Unfortunately, Sara from Made by Sara has had to postpone due to newborn baby and a cold, but I am sure her dress will be beautiful when it is finished and shared soon!
